Behavioral Incentive Program
Another exciting component of the New Lifestyles treatment model is the Behavior Incentive Program. The Behavior Incentive Program provides structure, feedback, and incentives.
For beginning students, the program "ticket" provides a clear and well defined structure of events for each day. Because the programmatic structure fades with progress, individuals gain increased opportunities to experience the benefits that derive from more mature self-management of time, activities, and responsibilities.
Feedback

Upon completion of each activity, staff review, encourage, and when indicated offer assistance to help the student achieve the desired level of performance. As self-motivation increases, the frequency of feedback and assistance decreases.

Incentives
Points received thorough each day are totaled at the end of each week and result in rewards of cash. With each progressive "phase," the potential cash reward increases. The issuance of various rewards, e.g., cell phones on Phase III, celebrate the success of progression from one phase to each succeeding phase. Phase progression results in not only receiving these additional rewards, but also increasing levels of independence, autonomy, and responsibility.
